Each year Ballarat Hospice Care applies to trusts and foundations for a variety of grants.
During 2016 the following grants were received:
RACV Community Foundation
Providing $20,000 towards new laptops for nurses and counsellors who travel to patients’ homes 24 hours a day.
Helen McPherson Smith Trust
$30,000 towards the development of bereavement counselling programs for the community.
Catholic Diocese of Ballarat
Foundation for the establishment of a pilot program to test an alternate service delivery model.
Collier Charitable Fund
Funding to purchase five Peak Care five inch mattress overlays plus an ambulatory syringe driver.
Toni Kaye Foundation
Four carer beds with memory foam mattress and side rails and four oxygen concentrators.
Masonic Lodge Guiding Star Lodge
12 light weight wheelchairs to assist carers to transport patients comfortably.
$100,000 towards the ‘Give to Help Hospice Grow’ appeal.
