World Hospice and Palliative Care Day

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is an annual unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. 

The theme for 2022:  Healing Hearts and Communities

Each year this day coincides with our Annual Ceremony of Remembrance. This year we together with Gandarra decided to send a card rather than host a physical event due to the pandemic.

Each person we would normally invite (Carers of loved ones who have died on our or Gandarra’s Palliative Care Unit program over the past 12 months) should have received a card from us.

These wonderful people continue to be in our thoughts.

This week our team gathered  to take a quiet moment of reflection to remember them and the people we cared for.
