SUPPORT

For all who need us

Palliative care is not just for patients. It is also for carers, family members, neighbours, and friends. We are here to provide support to all who need us.

Established by community members in 1985, our not for profit organisation guides patients and supports carers and families to live, die and grieve well.

We work with you to ensure you are

  • informed
  • respected and
  • supported

through the dying and grieving process.

SUPPORT

Dealing with loss

Relationships are unique, so each person will experience grief and loss in their own way.  Grief is not static, it ebbs and flows, with no set pattern.

We offer support to people who are bereaved following the death of a Hospice patient. We refer to other support services when required.

Not everyone wants or needs grief support. We encourage everyone to

  • be kind to themselves
  • be willing to reach out and receive help from others
  • trust their inner strength and resilience
  • listen to themselves with compassion.
