We are pleased to have recently welcomed Dr. Russell Pearce as our Medical Director at Ballarat Hospice Care.

Dr. Russell Pearce is a Palliative Care Physician with a strong connection to regional Victoria. He grew up in Alexandra and completed his high school education in Melbourne before relocating to Ballarat in 2013 to pursue medical training. His General Practice training was undertaken at Ballarat Group Practice and Creswick & Clunes Medical Centre, followed by advanced training in palliative care across a range of leading hospitals, including Geelong, Bendigo, Monash, Eastern Health, and Austin Health.

With a passion for accessible, high-quality palliative care, Russell brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving patients and families in Ballarat and the surrounding region. His clinical interests include complex cancer pain and supporting people living with disability, working to ensure their unique needs are understood and addressed within the healthcare system.
