Community support has always been a vital factor in Ballarat Hospice Care providing its invaluable services – and 2017 is no exception.
The RACV Foundation has given $20,000 towards 10 high resolution tablets to help give Ballarat Hospice Care nurses better contact with GPs, access to information and contact with administration when out in the community, often in isolated areas in all weather, night and day.
The RACV Foundation was extremely generous in making this donation to Ballarat Hospice Care.
A Black Tie Affair held in November also proved a highlight of the Ballarat social calendar.
Held at the Ballaarat Mechanics Institute’s Minerva Space, it featured an incredible special guest performance by opera star David Hobson, excellent entertainment by the Ballarat Grammar String Quartet and band Jeneruss, and outstanding catering by Peter Ford.
A Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast golf day has also already helped push along the $1 million new building appeal.
Organisations helping to raise funds for Ballarat Hospice Care in the next few months include the Ballarat Autumn Day Ride on May 7 (contact ballaratbadride@gmail.com for more information) and a Ballarat Chloral Society Musical High Tea on April 2 at the City Oval Bowling Club.
