Ballarat Hospice Care recently signed a licence agreement with Peace of Mind Foundation. Australia’s leading brain cancer support charity, enhancing support for brain cancer patients and their families in the local community, combining resources and expertise to offer holistic, compassionate care.
Tuesday 25th June marked a significant occasion in strengthening our connections and collaboration with other complementary, not-for-profit community-based organisations. We were very pleased to sign a licence agreement with Peace of Mind Foundation, Australia’s leading brain cancer support charity. The signing of the licence agreement marks a significant milestone in our mission to help our patients and families through integrated, shared care arrangements with like providers.
We were honoured to meet Kevin Larkins and Jonathon Muller, and welcome Lauren King, the Western Victoria Community Brain Cancer Navigator, from the Peace of Mind Foundation. The licence agreement formalises our agreement with Peace of Mind Foundation to provide a Ballarat base for Lauren who will use our Ballarat Hospice Care Community Hub as her base two days per week, offering dedicated assistance and assistance to people with brain cancer from our local community.
Peace of Mind Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, supports over 800 families annually providing essential care, courage, and a sense of community to brain cancer patients, their carers, and family members across Australia.
Our collaboration with the Peace of Mind Foundation represents a new chapter in how we support those affected by brain cancer in our community. By combining our resources and expertise, we aim to offer a more cohesive and supportive environment for patients and their families. This partnership strengthens our service offerings and embodies our commitment to holistic, compassionate care.
