WHEELCHAIR DONATION TO BALLARAT WILDLIFE PARK

News,Our Stories

At Ballarat Hospice Care, we believe in supporting our local community beyond palliative care.

Recently, we had the opportunity to help Ballarat Wildlife Park when their Operations Manager, Jared Mulholand, reached out in need of wheelchairs for visitors with mobility challenges.

Our Equipment Manager, Pete, was in the process of clearing out surplus donated equipment and saw this as the perfect opportunity to assist.  We had two extra wheelchairs on hand, and we were more than happy to donate them to the Wildlife Park, ensuring that all visitors can enjoy the park’s attractions safely and comfortably.

This collaboration reflects the power of community partnerships, showing how sharing resources can create positive change. At Ballarat Hospice Care, we’re proud to play a role in supporting our local community, whether through our palliative care services or by giving back in other meaningful ways.

We’re always looking for opportunities to connect and support local organisations. If you’re interested in learning more about what we do or how to get involved, please reach out to us.
