Stores and Equipment Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and practical Stores and Equipment Assistant to provide essential equipment for patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care.

In this hands-on role, you will coordinate, clean, maintain, and safely transport essential medical equipment, ensuring items remain safe, compliant and available when needed. A key part of the role involves delivering and collecting equipment from patients’ homes, requiring physical capability, safe manual handling, and a compassionate, respectful approach.

Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure equipment and resources are organised, fit for purpose, and delivered with care. You will regularly interact with patients and families, demonstrating empathy, sensitivity, and respect while contributing to a dignified end-of-life experience.

About You

You are organised, practical, and capable of performing regular manual handling tasks. You take pride in keeping systems running smoothly and equipment well-maintained. You are confident in communicating with people and can engage with warmth, respect, and sensitivity. You enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to meaningful care in your community.
